felted handbag
I recently finished this bag and sewed a button on last night. It’s the same pattern as I used for my first felted purse but I used a pretty blue variegated yarn this time.

big brown hat
I finished this simple brown hat this evening, using a design in the middle to spice it up. It came from the book mentioned in the previous post. It has a neat triangle pattern, but again, it’s kind of hard to see in the picture.

stitch practice
Katie is making a quilt for her friend at work who recently had a tragedy in her family. She is getting everyone who she knows that knits or wants to learn to knit and having them make 6×6 inch squares to contribute. It’s a good cause and has given me a chance to practice and experiment with The Ultimate Sourcebook of Knitting and Crochet Stitches. It is definitely the ultimate and a must have for knitters. Unfortunately it’s hard to see the different patterns in this picture.

ipod sock
I had some yarn leftover from one of my early purses so I decided to attempt a felted ipod sock. I just sort of guessed and hoped it would felt to the proper size and I lucked out! I’m very destructive to my things so it’s perfect to help further protect my ipod, which is already in a hard plastic case. I made it a while ago but I finally sewed a button on it last night.

skull tote
I made this super cute bag twice so far for ladies at my work using the pattern from hello yarn. I know one of them is going to use it as a diaper bag… much more rock and roll than your typical baby stuff! I switched to Patons classic wool the second time around and it’s a lot cheaper than specialty store wool but still works great!

cherry blossom bag
I made this bag as a special request from Olivia and it’s my favorite project that I’ve done so far. It’s the first time I ever attempted any sort of embroidery and although it was difficult, I’m really happy with the results. The bag pattern is Sophie by Julie Anderson and I “free handed” the embroidery using my own sketch created from several cherry blossoms photos as a reference.

necks
Katie is modeling some “necks” aka cowls for me. Don’t feel like dealing with a scarf? Try a neck!

mom’s purse
I made a purse like this a while back and my mom requested one. I gave it to her for Christmas last year but am finally putting it up. Karmella is showing is off for me!

baby blanket
I made this for my cousin’s baby shower. You can’t really tell from the picture, but it’s a light purple shimmery yarn. It’s a cute little thing.
