3,750 words exactly. boo yah!

I’m going to make yet another attempt to keep up with my journal. My new goal for it is to track the events and progress in my musical life (school, the band, etc). That’s pretty much what I did before, plus some random nonsense in between. I’m going to try to keep my personal life out of it as much as possible, but it’s difficult since most everything revolves around/relates to music for me. Most importantly I don’t want to offend anybody.

Here’s some progress: I just finished writing a 3,750 word term paper on Mozart’s arrangement of Handel’s Messiah for my Music History II class. It was a pretty painful process and I hope I don’t ever have to do it again. I’m proud that I finished it 5 days early rather than the night before (I’ll leave that super-procrastination for my economics paper hehe).

I’ve come to the conclusion that word counts suck even more than page counts. Can’t professors trust you to write a solid paper without sucking every last bit of energy out of you? It’s really a shame - I had a good paper when I had about 1,000 words to go and I was forced to b.s. my way through the rest. Oh well.
