spring break

Last week was the first time I went anywhere for spring break. I didn’t go to the beach and party my ass off like most college kids do. Instead I went to Nashville, TN and spent the week with my favorite guy in the world. I had such an amazing time, I wish I could have stayed.

On my trips to and from (I flew) I found it was really interesting how your mood makes you notice certain things. I had to connect in Detroit both times, so I had a little time to walk around in between flights. I remember how excited and happy I was walking around the airport and taking in everything. Everybody seemed in a good mood and people were really nice. I expected to see a few people who were upset, but it was all smiles. However, the second time around was when I was leaving to go home and I was super sad. It was dreary outside and I seemed to notice all of the people who were upset and sad. I remember taking a tram to get to the other side of the airport and a girl came on who was crying and all red in the face. I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her I understood. My flight also got delayed so I ended up stuck in the airport for 3 hours or so giving me more time to dwell on my thoughts. I got myself a big waffle cone full of cookies and cream and that made me feel better. (:

school, job, stuff

I think I’m about due for a post, huh?

I’m back in school for the spring. I’ll be going on tour again during the summer sometime. For now I have to focus on school and try to be a good music student (geek). Normally I work in the summer, but I had a realization that I’m never going to make any money if I wait to work summers. We want to try to tour every time I’m out of school, so that doesn’t leave any time for work.

So, I got a job! After applying at a few restaurants I stumbled upon one that was hiring about 10 minutes away from where I live on campus and they hired me. I am now officially a waitress! One step closer to the starving rocker life haha.. I just have to lose the school and I’ll be set. Anyway… I like my new job. I’ve got the hang of it now, and it’s pretty sweet. I like the people I work with and I love the tips. I made a little over $200 this Saturday and Sunday. Now I can afford to visit my favorite guy in Nashville for spring break! And my birthday is next week! Yay!
